13th Annual Garden of Lights Memorial Celebration

Memphis, TN -- FFUN “Stop the Killing” and Shelby County Crime Victims Center will host the 13th Annual Garden of Lights Memorial Celebration. The celebration will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Japanese Gardens of the Memphis Botanic Gardens, 750 Cherry Rd. in Audubon Park. This annual event is held in memory of homicide victims and provides an opportunity for survivors to celebrate the lives of their loved ones.

“How many more innocent lives must be taken due to senseless killings? Far too many of our children have been shot or died tragically due to gun related crimes at epidemic levels among our urban youth”, states Mr. Moore President and Founder of Freedom From Unnecessary Negatives (F.F.U.N.).

Safer and stronger communities become reality through persistence, vigilance, commitment, unity and with stronger laws regarding gun related crimes being adopted and enforced.
Confirmed guest include: U.S. District Attorney Michael Dunavant, Shelby County Attorney General Amy Weirich, Director Michael Rallings, Chief Deputy Floyd Bonner, Councimal Edmund Ford, Jr., Commissioner Reginald Milton, Dorcus Young from Mayor Luttrell’s office, Rev. William House and Elder Claude Hinds.
The entire community is invited and encouraged to be a part of remembering our deceased loved ones and efforts to “save our children to save our future.” For additional information, contact Stevie Moore at 901.502.7387 or Crime Victims Center at 901.222.3969.

This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served
