Shelby County Commission Chairman Deidre Malone has formed and appointed the following Ad Hoc Committees shown below. These Ad Hoc Committees will also include citizen members, who will be appointed in the near future.  Additional Ad Hoc Committees may be created as needed after the first of the year.

 

EOC Policies, Procedures and Operations:
This committee will review current policies and procedures and make recommendations to the Commission for approval and implementation.

Med Funding and Health Disparity Issues:
This committee will study, recommend and work to execute strategies to assist with obtaining revenue for the Regional Medical Center at Memphis and their clinics. This committee will also look at health disparity issues in Memphis and Shelby County and make recommendations on how the County might be able to assist.

Homeland Security, Disaster Preparedness & 911 Communications Center:
This committee will complete the Homeland Security and Disaster Preparedness ad hoc work and participate in advancing the discussion of a 911 Communications Center.

This committee will study and recommend strategies to make government more cost-effective and efficient through e-initiatives.

Music Commission and Music Foundation:

This committee will review the status of efforts to preserve and to globally market the music asset of Memphis and Shelby County. This committee will make recommendations to the Commission on additional ways we might be able to assist in growing this industry.
