The Regional Forensic Center provides accurate, timely, and impartial death investigation services for the citizens of Shelby County when there is a case of sudden, unexpected, or unusual death. The medical examiner provides consultation and education for local medical, legal, academic, and law enforcement communities. The center also performs autopsies for other counties throughout west Tennessee when requested.
