Youth and Family Resource Center
The mission of the Youth and Family Resource Center is to provide a safe place to guide and serve youth, aged 13 to 17 years old. Youth and Family Resource Center will strive to prevent and divert youth from entering or progressing further into the juvenile justice system by helping them to overcome trauma and build resilience. Therefore, the Youth and Family Resource Center will serve as a central point of contact to connect our youth clients to tailored supportive resources in the home, school, and community.
Who can refer youth to the center
- Youth (self-referral)
- Community Members
- Law Enforcement
Why or when should you refer a youth?
Youth should be referred when he/she is having a difficult time coping with everyday life. The youth may be displaying negative behavior in the home, school, or the community. They may also need extra support in their day-to-day activities and gain multiple coping skills to deal with past traumas.
What we do
The Youth & Family Resource Center is here to provide a safe place to support and serve youth and family, connecting them to multiple trusted resources and services in the home, school, and community, from a central point of contact. We want to know how you and the family are doing and where you need support. We want to help you establish a plan that will be specific to your strengths, needs, your wishes and goals. Our job is to make sure you have the tools to make it happen. Figuring out what to do can be overwhelming and stressful. We’ve got your back and will walk alongside you to follow the plan. We will check in with you to see how things are going because we want you to succeed. We are here to support you in achieving your highest potential, in all areas of your life. We have multiple resources and services to help you on your journey and will connect you to them if you choose so.
