Vision of Hope

“Where there is no vision, there is no hope.” This quote penned by George Washington Carver speaks volumes to the work that is the focus of the Community Services Agency. George Washington Carver, one of the most prominent black scientists of the 20th century, was an American agricultural scientist and inventor who promoted alternative crops to cotton and methods to prevent soil depletion. His work led allowed farms and communities to grow and thrive and gave people renewed hope. 
The vision of Shelby County CSA is to empower our customers to not only improve their lives through economic security and stability, but also their communities by planting seeds of change as we move toward a brighter future. Shelby County CSA is people focused with a vision of providing hope for each one of our customers. 
The Utility and CARES ACT Rent Assistance programs continue to help thousands of people with up to $1000 toward their utility bill or up to $3000 toward their rent, providing renewed hope to so many.
