The Importance of Victim Feedback
CVRCC’s core values of respect (of our client’s needs) and collaboration (working alongside clients to achieve their goals), as well as our desire to provide victim services that are: Holistic, Meaningful, Low-barrier/accessible, and Appropriate demand that we work to receive feedback on our services and our staff directly from people accessing those services.
Feedback from victims we serve helps us measure the effectiveness of our services. In particular, we want to answer this question: Are people better off after coming to CVRCC for help?
We know we cannot go back in time to eliminate the initial need for victim services, nor can we influence justice system results for our clients, however, we can measure whether their recovery from crime-related trauma was helped along because they worked with a CVRCC advocate, counselor, or nurse. Incorporating victims’ voices into our agency’s continuous improvement loop ensures we are keeping victims at the center of our work.
