Applications Being Accepted for the Shelby County Citizens’ University
The Shelby County Mayor's Office is now accepting applications for the next session of the Shelby County Citizens' University, February 4th through April 28th.
"Citizens get a behind-the-scenes look at Shelby County Government and how their tax dollars are spent," says Shelby County Mayor Mark H. Luttrell, Jr.
The eleven-week course will be held on Thursdays from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at many Shelby County Government facilities.
Presentations Include:
• Mayor
• Chief Administrative Officer
• Administration
• Finance
• Information Technology
• Community Services
• Corrections
• Health Department
• Planning and Development
• Public Works
• Public Affairs
• County Attorney/Public Defender/Divorce Referee
• Office of Preparedness
• Elected Officials (Trustee, County Clerk, Assessor, County Commission)
Go to http://www.shelbycountytn.gov/index.aspx?nid=1771 and look for the link to the Citizens’ University. Applications will be accepted from January 14th through January 27th. Those chosen for the session will be notified on January 29th.
