SHELBY COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT EXPANDS OUTREACH IN THE HISPANIC COMMUNITY WITH COVID-19 TESTING EVENTS
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH AND 20TH
SHELBY COUNTY, TN – The Shelby County Health Department, in association with community partners Latino Memphis, Catholic Church of the Ascension (Iglesia Ascension) and Sacred Heart Catholic Church, is offering free COVID-19 walk-up testing this Saturday and Sunday, September 19 and 20, 2020.
The testing is free and available to anyone, age 13 and older, while testing supplies last. Spanish interpretation will be available at both locations throughout the testing events.
Each person tested will be asked to provide an address and two telephone numbers, so that they can be contacted within two to three days with the test results.
Note: no personal information will be shared with government agencies outside of the Shelby County Health Department and the Tennessee Department of Health.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Where: Iglesia Ascencion | 3680 Ramill Rd., Memphis, TN 38128 | Testing will be in the gym.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Where: Sacred Heart | 1324 Jefferson Ave., Memphis, TN 38103| Testing will be in basement.
Free reusable masks will be provided to everyone who is tested.
