The first engine arrived in six minutes to find the garage heavily involved with fire and smoke threatening the remainder of the 2,881 square foot home.
In all three engine companies from the SCFD and one from Memphis Fire responded to the call and the 18 fire fighters successfully knocked the fire down keeping the majority of the damage confined to the area of the garage. The majority of the belongings of the home owners will be able to be salvaged.
No residents or fire fighters were hurt during this call and the cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
