If I’m currently awaiting a disposition on a pending charge, am I eligible for the Community Service Program?
An applicant will only be eligible for the Community Service Program after a conviction, and then only if he/she has a conviction.

Who qualifies for the Community Service Program?
If you are an ex-offender with one or more felony convictions you are eligible to participate in the Community Service Program.
2.
What types of employment opportunities are available? And, what are the salary ranges?
Employment opportunities will be based on skills, work experience and educational level. Salaries will be based on job classification.
3.
Am I guaranteed employment?
Although it is our goal to help program participants find employment, it is not guaranteed. We provide many job readiness resources that will help you become more competitive in your job search.
4.
Will the nature of my offense keep me from being considered for the Community Service Program.
No. Each applicant will be evaluated on an individual basis.
5.
If I’m currently awaiting a disposition on a pending charge, am I eligible for the Community Service Program?
An applicant will only be eligible for the Community Service Program after a conviction, and then only if he/she has a conviction.
6.
Would violation of probation exclude me from being eligible for the Community Service Program?
Once you application is submitted, a review of the offense will be conducted to determine eligibility.

Participants must reside within the boundaries of Shelby County to participate in the Community Service Program.
